Tribute to DrSanderson's Will
Once the set is built,
And the suckers have paid their money,
For time travel, among other things,
There will be women cast,
Who look like this.

Missing
Fear of missing out
Fear of not having stuck with things
The failures, the suffering, the loose group which could be so easily forgotten.
The cast of the end of the world in 2005, those were the days my friends.
The beginning of something..

Underrated Flapper Girls
Flappers are underrated.
They are the female rebels of every new generation.
Holly Golightly, how to marry a millionaire, Thoroughly Modern Millie. that Girl.
There are more, known and unknowns. They are the ones who are sometimes seen as Manic Pixie Girls, who arrive in the city with a vague dream, like their male counterparts, and get swept up in everything.
It happens.
It happened to This Girl.

How To Be a Manic Fairy Pixie (or Not)
Note that most of the Manic Pixies end up with the Millionaires. Or at least the "cute" ones.
Annie Hall.
Audrey Hepburn/Golightly
Marilyn Monroe
It takes a little of your dignity, but make sure to play along with the GAME. Boys/Men like to HELP you. They like mansplaining, they like SOLVING your problems (Bunting or Punting?)
Whatever you do, DO NOT show them your list of things that you believe in:
1) I want to be appreciated for my creativity. Picking up a piece of trash from the street and doing something creative with it, like turning it into a piece of art. Whether it is successful or not.
2) I want to be appreciated for TRYING. Not patted on the head, just hugged when I fail. And gently encouraged to submit. Again.
Etc.

#SAVENYC
NYC changes from the moment you first begin to explore it as a resident.
Usually for the worse.
Everything leaves. Everyone does.
And you can never keep up.
I had an idea of drawing every block around me. In 2002. And I should have.
(Always draw more)

2nd Ave, the last time before the explosion
Reading at the Moonstruck diner. Afterwards I went to Kickstarter and heard a great panel of Podcasters.
I had gone to La Mama, showing off my portfolio. Tilting at windmills, I had tried before, and could never get a footing in Manhattan. Not yet.

Tourguiding
Five Pointz is gone completely. Just another dull hole in the sky and empty lot full of nothing. Just a few months ago, the 7 train was the most delightful surprise in NYC, arising out of the underground, beneath the East River you'd see an explosion of color.
Now nothing.
